Notes:
Locally common, in flower meadows, farmland, scrub and woodland clearings; 0-2200 m throughout much of mainland Europe and Fennoscandia. In Britain, formerly widespread in southern England, but not seen reliably since the end of the 19th Century. Wingspan 28-34 mm. Larva feeds on Red Clover.
