Notes: Uncommon in southern England, where restricted to the coasts of Kent, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, generally considered to be merely a race of Ash Pug E. fraxinata or Angle-barred Pug E. innotata, from which separable only on basis of larval foodplant. Wingspan 18-24 mm. Larva feeds on Tamarisk, over-wintering as a pupa.
