A rare Red Data Book species, in farmland, roadside verges, waste ground and other open areas, in Breckland (East Anglia), where currently known from about five sites, a priority species under the UK Biodiversity Action Plan. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 29-33 mm. Unmistakable. Larva feeds on seedpods of Flixweed, over-wintering as a pupa.
