2109 Lesser Yellow Underwing (Noctua comes) Hübner, 1813 - (Noctuidae / Noctuinae)

 

Notes: Common in a wide range of habitats, including gardens, downland, heathland, woodland and moorland, throughout the British Isles. Wingspan 38-48mm. Could be confused with the much rarer Lunar Yellow Underwing N. orbona, which see. Larva feeds on Stinging Nettle, Broad-leaved Dock and Foxglove.
