Notes:
Common in coniferous and mixed woodland, plantations, parks and gardens, throughout the British Isles. Wingspan 32-40mm. Unmistakable. Larva feeds on needles of Scots, Corsican, Lodgepole and Maritime Pine, causing sufficient damage to be a serious pest in some areas.
