Nationally scarce (Nb) in grassland throughout much of Britain, more numerous in the north. In Hampshire recorded rarely in the first half of the last century, with one at Itchen Abbas in 1969. It is unclear whether these would stand up to scrutiny. Not recorded from the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 9-12 mm. Larva mines stems of various grasses.
