Nationally scarce (Na) in damp woodland throughout England. Wingspan 8 mm. Larva mines leaves of White Poplar and Grey Poplar. In Hampshire first identified as a mine on poplar leaves at Butterwood near Hook in 2007; subsequently reported from three scattered locales on the south coast in 2019. Not recorded from the Isle of Wight to date.
