Nationally scarce (Nb) wherever the foodplant occurs, throughout much of the British Isles. In Hampshire formerly common amongst Juniper in the mainland vice-counties, now virtually restricted to the chalk between Porton Down and Stockbridge Down. Not recorded from the Isle of Wight to date. Records from Southsea suggest the species can live on cultivated Juniperus in gardens. Wingspan 8-9 mm. Larva mines shoots of Juniper.
