Rare (proposed as a future Red Data Book species) in Britain, occurring on the downs of southern England and in the north, but evidently declining. There are a couple of old Hampshire records, from Southampton and Chilbolton, but not recorded in the county in recent years, and not recorded on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 7-9 mm. Larva mines berries of Juniper.
