Rare (proposed as a future Red Data Book species) in the vicinity of damp mountain streams on limestone in parts of the Scottish Highlands, and damp rock faces in Co. Kerry, Ireland. Unlikely to be recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 11-15 mm. Larva mines leaves of Yellow Saxifrage, Purple Saxifrage and Kidney Saxifrage, subsequently living within a silken web, often several together.
