The first confirmed record in Britain was at Addlestone, Surrey on 22 January 2009, when several mines were found and an adult was bred through. Recorded in Hampshire for the first time at Hilliers Arboretum in 2010; a record from the Isle of Wight in 2011 is unconfirmed. Wingspan 12-14 mm. Larva feeds on Olive, causing sufficient damage to be a serious pest in some parts of Europe.
