Nationally scarce (Nb) on rocky coasts and mountains in northern England, western Wales, north-western Ireland and Scotland, where it is common, especially in the northern and western Isles (MBGBI Vol 3). Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 19-23 mm. Larva feeds on Rock-cress, Flixweed and Dame's-violet, beneath a silken web.
