Nationally scarce (Na) on the chalk downs of south-eastern England, and on the limestone hills of Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Somerset. In Hampshire seemingly restricted to Ashford Hangars NR, Steep. Not recorded from the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 10-12 mm. Day-flying. Larva mines leaves of Ploughman's-spikenard.
