Endangered (proposed as a future Red Data Book species) on coastal sand-dunes in north Devon, south-eastern England, Norfolk, Pembrokeshire and Anglesey; the scattered nature of these captures suggests that it has been overlooked or under-recorded (MBGBI Vol 4 part 2). Not reliably recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 12-15 mm. One of several similar, rather nondescript gelechiids, which can only be reliably identified by dissection of the genitalia. Larva feeds within stems of Silverweed.
