Nationally scarce (Nb) on heathland, moorland, damp heaths and mosses in parts of Wales, northern England and Scotland. Unlikely to be recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 15-19 mm. Larva feeds on Heather, living between leaves spun together with silk.
