Vulnerable (proposed as a future Red Data Book species) in dry pastures and dry heathland in the central Scottish Highlands, north-east Scotland, northern England and on the Lizard in Cornwall. Unlikely to be recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 16-21 mm. Larva feeds on Petty Whin and Hairy Greenweed, living within a silken tube or tent.
