Nationally scarce (Nb) around hay-stacks, thatched roofs, farm buildings, barns, warehouses and granaries in south-western and south-eastern England. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 13-16 mm. Larva feeds on leaf litter, decaying vegetable matter, straw and hay.
