Very rare immigrant (less than 10 previous UK records) from mainland Europe. Recorded once in the British Isles, in a garden MV trap on 16 May 2002 at La Broderie, St Peters, Guernsey. Larva feeds within flowers of Thistle, both Carduus and Cirsium, and Knapweed.
