Rare (proposed as a future Red Data Book species) in dry pastures, farmland, field edges and waste ground in parts of Kent and East Anglia, with records north to Yorkshire. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 13-17 mm. Larva feeds on Goosefoot, Orache and Good-King-Henry, living between flowers and shoots spun together with silk, gregarious in early instars.
