Vulnerable (proposed as a future Red Data Book species) on heathland and mosses in parts of southern England, southern Scotland and western Ireland. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 11-15 mm. Similar to G. alismana but distinguished by the more angulate median fascia [Bradley]. Larva feeds within flowers and seedheads of Lousewort.
