Nationally scarce (Nb) on dry pastures and waste ground in parts of England and Wales. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 10-13 mm. The dense, pale ochreous irroration and extensive dark grey strigulation of the forewing are characteristic [Bradley]. Larva feeds on Common Restharrow, living between shoots spun together with silk.
