Vulnerable (proposed as a future Red Data Book species) and known only from East Anglia. Unlikely to be recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 11-13 mm. Similar to obscurely marked forms of P. albuginana, but differs by the presence of the pronounced pale ochreous coloration in the median fascia and ocellus [Bradley]. Larva feeds within bark of Ash.
