Main: (Crambidae / Crambinae)
63.084 [B&F: 1298] Crambus ericella (Hübner, [1813])

Nationally scarce (Na) on moorland in parts of northern England and Scotland. Unlikely to be recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 21-28 mm. More strongly and simply marked than other species of Crambus, and most like C. pratella which has, however, a rather strongly produced apical triangle and median longitudinal streak with conspicuous notch or hook half-way along dorsal margin [Goater]. Larva feeds on various grasses.
