63.010 [B&F: 1366a] Pyrausta aerealis (Hübner, 1793)


Pyrausta aerealis is widespread in mainland Europe, except Belgium, Portugal and the Netherlands. It could perhaps be mistaken at first glance for P. despicata but it is larger and generally less well-marked. The first specimen for Britain was taken at Cheriton near Folkestone, Kent on 23 June 2012.
