Very rare immigrant (less than 10 previous UK records) to the south coast of England from southern Europe. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 24-28 mm. Similar to, but with different markings from, the common and widespread Ebulea crocealis. Larva feeds on Dark Mullein; very limited evidence of breeding in the UK.
