A very rare immigrant from southern Europe, appearing occasionally in southern England, where a total of six individuals have been recorded to date; recorded twice in v.c.11, at Warsash, Hampshire on 1 October 1990 and at Christchurch, Dorset on 10 August 1995, and once in v.c.12 at Weston Colley on 5 October 2010. Wingspan 22-26mm. Unmistakable. Larva feeds in the pods of various Leguminosae; there is no evidence of breeding in the UK.
