Extinct in the British Isles, formerly on chalk downland in parts of south-eastern England. Unlikely to be recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 15-21 mm. Larva feeds within roots of Mouse-ear Hawkweed, subsequently feeding on the flowerheads, beneath a silken web.
