Local in damp areas in mountains and acid bogs in the Scottish Highlands. Unlikely to be recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 17-19 mm. Larva feeds on flowers and seeds of Purple Saxifrage, Yellow Saxifrage and other similar plants.
