Nationally scarce (Nb) in woodland throughout much of Britain and western Ireland. In Hampshire recorded in the past from Baddesley Great Covert and Ampfield, but recorded only once in recent years, at Noar Hill in 1993. Not recorded from the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 18-23 mm. Larva feeds on Goldenrod.
