In Hampshire and on the Isle of Wight widespread in vice-county 11, the southern half of vice-county 12 and in the north of the Island, but generally local and uncommon. Wingspan 22-26 mm. Unmistakable, although poorly marked specimens could be overlooked as Maiden's Blush C. punctaria. Larva feeds on Field Maple, over-wintering as a pupa.
