Occurrence in the British Isles unconfirmed, this central European species is included on the British list on the basis of a number of specimens found in a collection in Cumbria, but not necessarily captured there. Wingspan 15-27 mm. Closely resembles Small Waved Umber H. vitalbata. Larva feeds on Pasqueflower, no evidence of breeding in the UK.
