Very rare immigrant (less than 10 previous UK records) from mainland Europe, has appeared just twice in Britain, once in Oxfordshire in 1919 and once in Pembrokeshire in 1946. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 34-33 mm. Larva feeds on St John's-wort, no evidence of breeding in the UK.
