Recorded infrequently through accidental importation from North America, recorded for the first time in Britain as a live adult in the docks at Aberdeen in 1983, with no further records to date. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 87-150 mm. Larva feeds on Summer Jasmine, Vervain and Forget-me-not; no evidence of breeding in the UK.
