Introduction
Common in woodland, scrub and gardens throughout the British Isles. Widespread and common in Hampshire and on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 42-60 mm. Unmistakable. Larva feeds on Aspen, Poplar and Willow, over-wintering as a pupa.
