An endangered Red Data Book species found on south-facing hillsides, undercliffs and rocky areas, by the sea, along a short strip of coastline between Charmouth, Dorset, and Sidmouth, Devon. Unlikely to be recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan male 27-33 mm, female 24-28 mm. Has been confused in the past with Concolorous C. extrema, but C. morrisii is larger, with costa more arched, and lacks the ochreous hue of C. extrema. Larva feeds on Tall Fescue.
