Presumed extinct in the British Isles, formerly on heaths in Dorset and Hampshire, where recorded in the past from boggy areas of the New Forest, but the moth has not been seen since 1969. Wingspan 17-22 mm. Larva feeds on flowers and seeds of Marsh Gentian.
