Recorded infrequently through accidental importation from the Far East. A male specimen of this Oriental species, new to Europe, was taken in Hampshire at MV in the Lower Itchen valley on 7 October 1994 by R Houghton, who presented it to the British Museum of Natural History, London, where it was identified by Martin Honey by dissection. Not recorded from the Isle of Wight to date.
