Local in broad-leaved woodland, hedgerows and gardens throughout southern England and Wales. Widespread and common in Hampshire and on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 36-40 mm. Larva feeds on Pedunculate and Sessile Oak, over-wintering as a pupa.
