Common in hedgerows, scrub, woodland, calcareous grassland, heathland, sand-dunes and gardens throughout the British Isles. Widespread and common in Hampshire and on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 28-30 mm. Larva feeds on Heath and Hedge Bedstraw, over-wintering in a cocoon.
