Record will require further evidence, at least a good photograph, unless CMR is aware recorder has confidence in identification

Authority:(Scopoli, 1763)

A rare migrant which may have been possibly resident for a short while in Kent during the mid 20th Century. Most records are from the south-east of England, during May and June. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 23-25 mm. Could be confused with the very much more common Marbled White Spot Protodeltote pygarga, which has no white patch at base of forewings. Larva feeds on various grasses, especially Timothy, no recent evidence of breeding in the UK.
