A rare species in Britain, occurring mainly in the fens of Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, with one or two older records from Somerset and Yorkshire. Relatively distinctive with two-tone ochreous forewings sporting two distinct black spots on each. The moth flies in June and July. The larvae are believed to feed on Yellow Flag Iris, as this is the foodplant elsewhere in Europe. Wingspan 15-16 mm.
